After learning how to do a proper pushup I came to the realization of how much more difficult it is to do a proper pushup. Not only that, but doing it correctly provides a much better workout.
50 pushups in 2 minutes is the graduation requirement for Air Force boot camp. I can push out 40 at the moment, but would like to be at standard before I ship out.

How many pushups can you do?

so thanks to my dad (retired Air Force of 26 years) I’ve discovered I’ve been doing my pushups wrong all this time. I suppose I’m thankful I’ve learned sooner rather than later, but I’ve also discovered that the proper pushup is 3 times harder than the wrong one. Also meaning I can only do a 1/3 as many. BAH! Now I have to work my way back up in numbers… but at least I know they’ll be right!!

Didn’t go running today. Had every good intention to, but ended up getting caught up with some other stuff. Tomorrow I’m running 3 miles. When I started this thing at day one (1) I was at 36% body fat. In two (2) weeks I’m going in for another appointment. I’ve lost weight since then and gained considerable muscle mass. As soon as I can find a reliable scale I’ll throw up the results of weight loss IF there was any noticeable weight loss since I’ve been doing strength training to.

pushups

Me: Look how bad my form is. I really need to work on it, see?
Mom: Yea, your butt is way to far up in the air.
Dad (after just walking up): You know you just did those wrong, right?
Me: *sigh

fail

apparently I’m a big failure at this logging my exercise and diet thing. I do assure you, and I have witnesses that I’ve been running 2+ miles daily, as well as lifting weights daily. I run every day but Sunday, although I still lift.

There are results! I also have witnesses for that. Shame on me.. I need to start logging it like I promised!
