The “God card”

This is to be expounded on at a later time:

I completely respect when a girl (or guy) uses God as the reason why she/he can’t be in a relationship. Be it they don’t feel they should be in one, or they feel they shouldn’t be attached at this point in life, or whatever it may be. 

The thing I struggle with is how people go about conveying that conviction. I find it hard to believe that God would call you to something, and in doing so cares not if you trample on the emotions of another child of His. I can’t imagine God saying something along the lines of “this is what I’ve called you to, and don’t worry about the feelings or emotions of the other person. Just give it to’em cold & hard… then walk away.”
